From the Executive Desk
To our Valued Agents:
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read our newsletter. While I am a familiar “face” to some, I am aware that there are some agents I have yet to meet. Although I am trying to make time to speak to everyone personally, let’s face it: Talking to me usually means you have a “problem claim.” No one enjoys these conversations, but working together as a team is one of the many strengths we, in the Equine Mortality and AgriBusiness® Divisions, have in our relationship with you. Your input is invaluable as we know you may have an integral relationship with many of your clients.
Most claims get handled and processed without much need for an agent to speak with an adjuster directly. However, when we do have a claim that falls outside the “norm,” you may receive a call from the adjuster assigned to that claim, looking for any additional information you may have and to give you a heads-up about any communication that we may be sending the client that could elicit a call to the agency. It’s a two-way street; we often receive calls from agents bringing certain aspects of the claim or risk to our attention. This is just one of the ways we work together in hopes of a positive outcome for all.
Another way I would like to collaborate with you is feedback: What works? What doesn’t work? What are your pain points when it comes to the claim handling process? Please send me an email with anything you would like to share.
Warm regards,
Illona Berecz
