Q: How did you get into insurance?

A: By accident. I needed a job and an underwriter trainee position was available and my mom told me I needed a grown-up job. My mom was an underwriter, so the rest is history.

Q: How long have you been in insurance? 

A: 20 years.

Q: What is your favorite part of being an Underwriting Director? 

A: Building relationships with agents and helping newer underwriters grow and learn.

Q: What is your favorite part of being at Great American?

A: The corporate culture. The business is allowed to make the decisions and do the things that they think are best for their business. Easy accessibility to people who help make the decisions.

Q: What is your favorite farm animal?

A: Cow.

Q: Do you have any skills and talents that most people don’t know about?

A: I speak Spanish. My degree is in Spanish.

Q: What is #1 on your bucket list?

A: I would like to go to Italy.

Q: What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? 

A: Alligator.

Q: What’s your favorite holiday?

A: Christmas.

Q: What would be your personal motto?

A: It’s always better to tell the truth.

Q: What is it that you think someone doesn’t know about you?

A: I was the Field Command (Drum Major) for my high school marching band in high school. I was one of the first to do that as a junior.
