25 Years of Moving for the Mystic
This May, members of the Great American Environmental team got together to participate in the annual Mystic River Herring Run & Paddle 5K. This year’s event marked the 25th anniversary of the race and was carried out virtually. Runners and paddlers had the opportunity to participate in the race anytime from May 9th through May 23rd and were able to log their course completion times to be ranked virtually amongst all participants.

This event sought to raise awareness and support for the Mystic River Watershed Association, a nonprofit foundation whose mission is to protect and restore the Mystic River, its tributaries and watershed lands.
“This is a fun local event, and it supports a great cause. It will be nice to do live again, but it was fun to do virtually too! We had a range of days to complete the run, so it was nice to have flexibility for the date/time. We met up to do the course together, and enjoyed a warm Spring day, the views of the Mystic River and catching up with each other in person.” - Heather Boyd, Divisional Assistant Vice President
Great American Environmental is proud to have sponsored this event and we look forward to the opportunity to take part in future events that enable us to better the communities we live and work in.
Interested in meeting with our team virtually? We would love the opportunity to host a virtual gathering for you and your co-workers while discussing how Great American Environmental can tackle your business needs. We hope to “see” you soon!
